About Dr. Holewinski

Growing up in a large Polish family in Toledo, Ohio, I embraced the values of hard work and the importance of family. These principles have profoundly influenced my medical career.

My journey in medicine began with a love for biology, leading me to earn a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toledo and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University. My residency at Jackson North Medical Center in Miami, Florida, marked a significant transition, where I stayed to join the practice at my program director’s invitation. Miami has since been my home, where I met my husband, Bruce, a Sarasota native, and together we have two children, Alexa (USF) and Luke (UCF).

In Miami, I’ve held key roles such as Department Chair of Podiatry, Surgical Residency Coordinator, and co-founder of the Limb Preservation Program at Aventura Hospital. I’ve trained students and residents, earning the “Teaching Faculty of the Year” award for nine consecutive years. Staying current with innovations like Minimally Invasive Surgery and Biologics is crucial to my practice.

Outside of work, I cherish outdoor activities with my family, whether it’s visiting my daughter’s horse farm or camping with my son. A soccer injury that led to knee surgery shifted my fitness focus to spinning and weight training, reinforcing my dedication to helping patients stay active.

My family and I are thrilled to relocate to Sarasota, eager to connect with the community and new patients. Inspired by my grandma’s wisdom, “The secret to life is to keep moving,” I strive to enhance mobility and well-being in my practice every day.
