Tony Parker Dealing With Ankle Injury

Tony Parker Injury

Parker played for two years in the French basketball league before entering the 2001 NBA Draft.

It looks like it’s going to be the clash of the titans again in the NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat starting in San Antonio on Thursday night!

Unfortunately, San Antonio Spurs prized player Tony Parker is limping his way into the finals with a banged-up ankle. It’s unclear whether or not he will be playing this week, although some are speculating that he will be ready to play.

Tony has had a rough season. He aggravated his already injured ankle in Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder Conference Finals. Parker sprained the ankle in Game 4 and aggravated it in Game 5.  Annnnd—he strained his left hamstring in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals against Portland! Sounds like somebody needs a rest, but that’s not always the popular thing to do in professionals sports.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens on Thursday. I hope he is feeling better, but my concern is that he will not have enough rest and recovery time to adequately help his ankle. And you can rest assured the Miami Heat is going to try to put as much “heat” on Parker as possible…

Stay tuned!
