New Orthotics Provide Relief For Chronic Foot Pain

Stephen D. Lasday, DPM Podiatrist Sarasota and Bradenton 2 Comments

What do you do when traditional methods and procedures do not provide sustained relief for arthritic feet with completely collapsed arches?  Turn to a new method of orthotics….

June Rhodes (not her real name) came to my office in really bad shape.  She was unable to walk properly and was in chronic pain.  Her feet were riddled with arthritis, her arches were collapsed, and her quality of life was adversely affected by her extremely poor foot health.  According to June, she was “in foot pain all the time, one way or another.”

Traditional orthotics did not work effectively over time for June.  Boots and ankle braces provided initial relief, but eventually stopped working for her.  I turned to a new method of orthotics designed with a thorough understanding of mechanics and the human gait cycle.  These orthotics relieve pain by essentially straightening out the feet and ankles.

This new orthotic method provided June with great relief, improved quality of life, and feet without pain.  It replaced the large ankle braces which made her very happy.  June said “she feels like a human being again.” Listen to her success story below.

If you or a loved one are suffering from foot pain, please schedule an appointment with Dr. Lasday right away for a thorough and professional evaluation, either in his Bradenton Podiatry office or Sarasota Podiatry office.
