Uh-oh! Evidently, the “force” was too strong around Harrison Ford’s ankle last week; it was broken on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII! Yes, there is going to be another Star Wars…you didn’t know that?
Ford, who’s reprising his role as Han Solo, was evidently injured by the door of, of all things, the Millennium Falcon! You know…”the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” (Lando Calrissian) or a “bucket of bolts” (Princess Leia)? Anyway, Variety reported that a hydraulic door fell down and hit Ford during filming at England’s Pinewood studios…ouch!
It looks to keep him out of filming for about 8 weeks! It is believed, though, that Episode VII directed by J.J. Abrams is still expected to make its Dec. 18, 2015 release date. Whew! That is a huge relief…and all the Star Wars fans said “Amen!”
We wish Harrison Ford the best of luck and a speedy recovery…we need Han Solo!
